is it possible to teach fashion? Giulio Marangoni asked himself this question back in 1935: his fame with the Italian aristocracy had already been established, thanks to his fashion garments. To answer it, he founded the Istituto Artistico dell’Abbigliamento Marangoni, or the Marangoni Artistic Clothing Institute in Milano. It was a school for fashion designers and professionals.
In 85 years, Istituto Marangoni has never stopped believing in the value of training and constantly updated its programmes to meet both Italian and international market needs. In the past few years, Istituto Marangoni opened four new schools: London in 2003, Paris in 2006, Shanghai in 2013, and Milano Design in 2014. Istituto Marangoni recently opened the new School of Fashion, Art & Design in Firenze and in Shenzhen (2016),Mumbai (2017) and Miami (2018),the international capitals of fashion, design and luxury.
